Safe Enough to Bloom

is a photobook made during the egg’s Lewis Hine Fellowship at West Brooklyn Community High School, a transfer high school in Borough Park. The book is comprised of portraits and transcribed student conversations discussing the challenges of a NYC public education, and how the staff and students of WBCHS are working to make learning a more open and compassionate experience.
